Earth Friendly Apparel Company Co-Founders Bob Lundblad and Mike Stivers were interviewed this month as part of a documentary series being produced by Korea CineTel to be broadcast on Korean Broadcasting System (KBS). The tentative broadcast date is mid-November 2009. This two-part series for KBS will present the rich history of cotton by taking the audience on an exciting journey through the cotton fields of India, China, Korea and United States of America. During the visit with Earth Friendly Apparel Company, we were able to discuss the opportunities, and challenges, of supporting and working with organic cotton fabrics in the promotional apparel industry here in the United States.

Sponsored by Korean Broadcasting Committee, Cotton Road follows the production cycle of a global agricultural commodity “cotton” through the stories of farmers, migrant laborers, merchants, textile workers and consumers, illuminating the global trade in cotton and the connection between workers in Asia and the Global society. The program will air in Korea with possible distribution in other parts of the world once the production is completed. Stay tuned…we will post more information once we get the air dates from the production company.
